A New Chapter Begins

This fall, The Bungalow Kitchen reopens as part of its next chapter. Reimagined, but still unmistakably itself.

Leading the kitchen is Chef Eric Samaniego, a familiar face to Long Beach diners from his years at local favorite, Michael’s on Naples. Chef Eric brings his signature handmade pastas, Bolognese, and Italian sensibility, alongside the French bistro fundamentals that shaped his early career. Every plate is built on organic, regeneratively sourced ingredients, because better sourcing shouldn’t mean sacrificing flavor.

The space itself is evolving too. Our waterfront patio overlooking Alamitos Bay becomes the heart of the dining experience. The indoor Main House transforms into an elegant cocktail lounge with an elevated bar bites menu. A new private dining room opens in The Sun Room for intimate gatherings. And yes, our Game Room and its pool table aren’t going anywhere.

Alongside Chef Eric, Director of Operations Jerome Astolfi and General Manager Donald Swartz bring more than three decades of combined hospitality leadership, united by a shared belief that great restaurants are built one guest, and one remembered name, at a time.

We’re trading spectacle for substance. A neighborhood bistro rooted in exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and a distinctly Long Beach sense of place. Dinner service launches first, with weekend brunch and our beloved Sunset Sips happy hour to follow.

We can’t wait to welcome you back.
